Textile Prints:

Bargello

Using tonal color pallets, traditional Bargello embroidery techniques create an intricate depth to geometric patterns, making the artwork almost look like it’s turning off the fabric itself. While designing textile prints for Cultivate: Future x Spoonflower, I created CADs with a series of rectangles and squares to give movement to a flat surface. In turn, I also designed coordinating prints to seamlessly pair alongside each color way.

Leaning into muted kashmir green tones, my Twisted Bargello artwork was inspired by the tints and shades of the Statue of Liberty. Over time the oxidized copper built up an ombre patina over each of the drop folds in her gown.
